1 ounce Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
5 ounces hot chocolate
1 tablespoon whipped cream
Dark chocolate shavings
Combine Kahlua with prepared hot chocolate in an Irish coffee cup.
Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
Brigadeiro is a soft chocolate sweet made with condensed milk, butter and cocoa, created in the 1940’s and named after Brigadeiro (Brigadier – a Presidential candidate in Brazil) Eduardo Gomes, whose shape is reminiscent of that of some varieties of chocolate truffles.
In Brazil it is usually served at birthday parties, however it’s a popular candy also in Spain, Portugal and Chile.
Every Brazilian knows Brigadeiro, and everyone who tries it likes it.
